If you’re already a programmer, this book an excellent way to learn Ruby. It shows how to apply a variety of common and largely language-independent programming structures (”design patterns”) in “the Ruby way”. Along the way, you get a great introduction to what makes Ruby unique, and the idioms commonly used in the Ruby community. I especially liked that the author often showed multiple implementations of each pattern, each implementation being more elegant and Ruby-esque than the last, and included a discussion of when each might (and might not!) be appropriate. I also appreciated the helpful discussion of the ways you might shoot yourself in the foot with each pattern in Ruby, as well as the pointers to where you could find the pattern used in Ruby “in the wild” (in various software freely available on the Internet)

This is an excellent book about hacking. Includes a very well written introduction to the C programming language. The book contains very useful chapters on Networking and on Cryptology with lots of hand-on examples. I highly recommend it if you want to learn hacking techniques presented in a systematic way

This book teaches hacking in the old sense of the word and contains the explanation that most others books don’t - and at the same time it introduces all the basic skills for performing various types of overflow attacks. Then the book also digress into some wireless security and even WEP cracking, but this part is pretty slim, not bad, just only a few pages. This is OK, since I think of this more as an example of extending the hacking into new areas and hopefully inspires more people to look into wireless security.
The best part about this book is that it is not just a book with a random Live-CD. It is an inspiration and your fingers will itch to get started trying the examples explained and experiment with the programs. This alone is the single feature that makes this book worth it, you will do the exercises and learn from them. Learn a lot.
To sum it up this books contains clever tricks and easy to follow exercises, so you can learn to apply them.
Target audience
This book is for anyone interested in hacking and developing exploits. While the primary target audience is newcomers to this field I benefitted from the thorough walkthrough of the basics once again. This book kept reminding me about things I have forgotten and also some new things and tricks I hadn’t thought of myself

Thankfully, the game features extremely flexible jump-in, jump-out options, so a buddy can join you at any point along the way or leave without slowing down your progress. Takeuchi also promises a system in place for getting rid of griefers who enter an open game only to mess with your progress

The Winn L. Rosch Hardware Bible is a handy guide to the components that make up IBM-standard personal computers, but it is beginning to show its age in its new fifth edition. As Rosch's fans have come to expect, the book includes lots of lists and tables that present troubleshooting information in an easily referenced format. Rosch knows his subject well. Unlike many of its competitors, this book devotes a fair amount of ink to discussions of software phenomena, such as image compression technologies.

Some of the material seems a bit outdated, such as the section on "proprietary mice" that describes dedicated mouse ports as if they're something unusual. In the same vein, coverage of CD-ROM formats neglects any mention of the Joliet and El Torito standards, as if Yellow Book is new stuff. There's no mention of PC-100 RAM either, and the book gives almost as much space to monochrome cathode ray tubes as to emerging flat-screen technologies. The point: you'll appreciate the information on older technologies if you're involved in maintaining or repairing older machines. Folks working on more modern hardware may want to look at Scott Mueller's Upgrading and Repairing PCs, 11th Edition. --David Wall

Chad Perkins is an Adobe Certified Instructor and Certified Expert in Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat. He was also one of the first in the world to become certified in Encore DVD. He is an Adobe Certified Video Specialist and Certified Print Specialist, and is CompTIA CTT+ certified. He's also done prepress work with The Wall Street Journal and produced art for Warner Bros., Paramount, and more.

Chad owns Aveconta, an architectural rendering studio that creates photorealistic renders from AutoCAD drawings. He's also developing an effects studio called Wedgekase Animation.

OK, this will show you how to get passwords for anything from runescape, pc logins, vbulletin.com, and even eBay!

Ok, here's how:

1. First you need to get a file sharing program, so go find one!
2. When you get your file sharing program, click on search.
3. Click on 'Documents', 'Word Processing" or similar in the search section, and type anything like: My Passwords, Runescape Passes, Passes, ebay Passwords, My Passes, Rapidshare Pass, anything that is like this, the best is My Passwords.
4. Now when you decide what you’re going to type into the search, type it in and click search.
5. When it finishes searching, look for something you want, and download it.
6. All you need to do now is open the file when it’s downloaded, and there you are, passwords!

How Does This Work?
Well, some versions of file sharing programs, for example LimeWire share your whole hard-drive to download things off, and some people are so stupid they save their passwords in documents. When you search with your client, you get those idiot's passwords. It’s great, I use this quite a bit and it has always worked, I got some great stuff using this and you will too. You are mostly going to find xxx passes which is good

anyway, enjoy your password hunting!

Also, this is how to get onto forums and places you log in as people:
In your client, do a search like last time, but this time search for 'cookies.txt' and dl some. Place these cookies in your cookies folder on your hard drive and you will now be able to log on as people of forums and shit .
